Psychologist in Zurich

Children, adolescents, and adults. Parental guidance.

Hello, I am Yana. I am a psychologist with clinical and educational psychology background. I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and Neurobiology from Tel Aviv University. I am a recognized psychologist by the Swiss federal office of public health (BAG/FOPH) and a member of the Swiss psychologist associations FSP and ZüPP.

I have over 11 years of experience with treating children and adults. In the past I worked in Israel as an educational psychologist, and as a clinical psychologist in a psychotherapy clinic.

Sessions are offered in my practice in Zurich or online via Zoom.

I speak Hebrew (native) and English.

A single session takes 50 minutes.

The price for a session is 160 CHF.

Some Swiss supplementary insurances partly/fully reimburse the costs. This must be checked with the insurance.

About

As a psychologist, I use the dynamic integrative approach, combined with other tools such as cognitive and behavioral treatment, schema therapy, and mindfulness.
I treat daily life complexities (relocation, interpersonal and relationship issues, parenthood, work and self-growth, sexuality, love, a sense of meaning in life and quality of life, etc.). In addition, I treat more complex issues such as anxiety and depression.
I would like the treatment to provide an accepting and secure environment, which enables sharing of feelings and thoughts. Together, we can look inside and give words and meanings to internal and interpersonal experiences, in order to ease emotional pain and distress, and enable growth, meaning in life, and authenticity.
During therapy, we will identify significant goals and work together to achieve them.

In addition to adults, I also treat adolescents and children, and provide parental guidance.
I treat issues such as parent-child relationships, behavioral and emotional difficulties, and difficulties caused from relocation, trauma, or loss.
My therapeutic approach when working with little children is play therapy, with the understanding that children express their inner world symbolically, by playing.
Child therapy is accompanied with parental guidance. The parents are the most important people in a child's life, so the goal of parental guidance is to provide tools for coping with the situation, as well as a place for emotional support for the parents.
